Do not change the inspection frequency for light vehicles (4–14 years)

That the House of Representatives urge the Government to keep the annual requirement for a warrant of fitness on light vehicles registered from 4 to 14 years.

As a warrant off fitness inspector I am worried that increasing the time between inspections may lead to cars with low brake pads or worn tyres. I believe that not every car owner maintains their car at a safe level and an annual inspection would help prevent car failures. Making a longer period between inspections could also affect the automotive world economically. I want to see safe roads. Thank you.
