Drug and alcohol testing for MPs including Ministers and staff in Parliament

That the House of Representatives make it compulsory for MPs, including Ministers and the Prime Minister, and all staff at Parliament to be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

The reason is that I believe leaders running the country should be randomly drug and alcohol tested just like some other workplaces. Since Parliament is a workplace, I believe its rules shouldn’t be any different to the rules applied elsewhere. In my view, safety and policy decision making needs clear heads when running the country, and transparency and integrity should be basic principles applied to everyone.
